Just picked my car up a few hours ago and the squeak is gone.......almost. It only does it once in a while and only when starting from a dead stop where before it was every time I shifted.

Service report says, "Lubricated clutch pedal bushing. re-test, noise ok".

I know this is a little different from what I"m about to comment on... But I haven't known any manual transmission to not make a sound when pressing in and depressing the clutch... Just mechanics...

Well, throw some, throw some, throw some D's on it!

If you never heard it you probably never will. Mines driving me nuts. Already took it back once and they "fixed it" but the noise came back a couple weaks later.

bumping this up. I'm getting a funny squeek also. Typically 1st/2nd gear....driving slowly through my neighborhood. It almost sounds like a flag pole rope with the wind blowing. Crazy reference but that's what it reminds me of.

I just bought a 2013 G37S and my clutch pedal makes that sound when u press it in from 1st to 2nd, but ive noticed in my friends 6mt camaro it does the same thing so im not that worried. But im only at 500 miles and when im slowly releasing my clutch pedal usually from a stop when i have to ease off of it it creeks kind of like an old wooden floor. Any answers or solutions??

I get that sound sometimes as well. I think it's the clutch spring making some noise. Have any you guys put some grease down there to see if it quiets it up a bit?

The sound is from the pedal spring. There is supposed to be a little grease on there for it.

I don't really work on cars or anything. Do u put the grease underneath the pedal or do I have to remove anything? And what kind of grease?? lol

The only squeaking I get is after pumping the clutch pedal many times with the car off. It's not from the spring though. It sounds more rubbery in nature than metallic. From the factory, the only grease I saw when swapping clutch pedal springs was on the pins (lower and upper), and the on the shaft of the lower clevis.

White lithium grease is what I used to lube these parts.

Vinny, are you running the stock clutch spring or one of the weaker ones? If stock, then being a 2013 there should be plenty of grease down there. Grab a good flashlight and stick your head under the dash while slowly modulating the pedal. If it is coming from the spring it should be easy to hear and spot.

the sound is mor rubbery than metallic for me too. Maybe its because im breaking the clutch in. Does that exist can u break a clutch in?? i feel as though its not as stiff anymore(in a good way)
