Tuning

Hey fellow g lovers/owners, question I’m having trouble on coming up with the answer. What is the best tune for a better sounding 2009 g37 sedan 7AT. I’m trying to get pops and bangs from it. Don’t need hp just a nice sounding car with loud backfire. I will be getting test pipes probably new exhaust. But unsure about the tune. I have 115,xxx miles on the car now. But I want to get it tuned. Any suggestion on tunes. Plz provide videos love to see the g community.

Not sure anyone does that for the G. I saw mention a few months ago that one tuner (ECUtek?) was working on this.

Plenty of G's with the popcorn/flame tune lol. Get on IG and check out all the G/Z's on there. RZG Motorsports, SOHO, AdminTuning, Z1, are all reputable places to get this type of tune done. EcuTek and UpRev both have the capabilities to do this. You say you don't need HP but that's one of the results of a tune, more power. I'll personally be going with SOHO and UpRev. The ECU on my '08 doesn't have enough memory for EcuTek unfortunately but I think '09 you might be good. Always good to check with the company and tuner before.

Im a noob when it comes to tuning. Is this the case for all ‘08 models: not having enough memory for a specific tune?

Just for EcuTek. UpRev will work on the 08's.

I think you're confused on how these work. The maps available will be whatever you pay the tuner to do. Do some research on their websites and find a certified tuner to answer your questions before purchasing.
