2 Step

Might be a noobish question but, does the 2step only work for Manual Tranny? Or Auto as well? If so how? What has to be modded?

Why makes you come to this conclusion? I see plenty of Hondas and other fwds at the drag strip. G37 isn't a camaro, vet, or stang, but I'm curious as to what makes you say that?

2 Step can be programmed using Uprev or Ecutek. It can be done to the manual or auto. I have rolling anti lag on my car. Pretty much useless but awesome to watch in use.

Maybe because it's a heavy *** sport luxury car.

People make pickup trucks into low riders and sports cars into donks. That doesn't mean they are smart people.

Lol sport luxury. Maybe a GT car...

I don't think anyone is picking a g37 for a dedicated drag car, and if they are I agree with you. There are better platforms. But there are far worse.

I think with a few mods the car is very well rounded but by no means a drag car. Although a 2 step would sound awesome!! Its one of the closest cars that almost meets the infamous three. Cheap - Fast - Reliable... To me its Cheap - Quick - Reliable

No true 2 step for ecutek

so I have a twin turbo G37S and I went with Ecutek because it was highly recommended for turbo applications and MT6 optioned cars . Come to find out nearly 1k later install and dyno time tat if you have a 6 speed G all your gonna end John with is a program rev limiter (fuel cut) for launching but you will not get the no lift shift ( only works on 370z with synchro rev option) and there is no step with ignition or timing features which are must haves if you would like to build any boost of the line. So needles to say while I love most of the options evutek does have I was very highly disappointed that I still have no 2 step for my turbos and can’t use the no lift shift which in my mind was a highly needed option since the manual trans isn’t the slickest shifting trans I’ve ever had lol

That's odd. I have rolling anti lag on my car with uprev. I can also brake boost if needed. Ecutek has launch control so you can build boost on the line.

while I do have a programmable launch control it’s simply a rev limiter that cuts fuel at desired rpm when car is at complete stop and accelerater is mashed to the floor , not sure how familiar you are with turbos but they don’t build boost just because you rev up the engine , building boost is a function of measured engine load and either advancing the timing or regarding timing to simulate a load on the motor while sitting still this the function of a true 2 step ( they are set for specific rpm and then you set the timing onc desired rpm is reached , this gives you that lovely popping and banging you heat and see on tv such as street outlaws of course if you have external wastegates that bet straight to the atmosphere you also get some cool flames from the unburned fuel and retarded ignition timing . I can set on the launch control / rev limiter all day and do nothing more then pull about 8 inches of vacuum . I had uprev initially but do to lot of different circumstances and overall big picture goal my tuner pushed for evutek for ultimate control . Now if I had a GTR Ecutek has about 8 more kick *** features like boost by gear. True 2 step and some other cool stuff . It’s a trickle down effect and the G’s are at the very very bottom of that totem pole for getting new features

He's boosted, pretty sure he is familiar. I've seen plenty of other turbocharged G/Z's running EcuTek and UpRev using rolling anti-lag to build boost.
