Tuning Necessary Immediately?

Hey guys. I have a 09 G37xS and have installed an Injen CAI, Tanabe Medalion Axle Back, Megan Racing Y Pipe, and just received my Fast Intentions RHFCs. I was wondering if I am hurting anything installing the rhfc right now without a tune? Should I wait to install them when I am going to get a tune in the near future (2 months)? Really excited to put them on but just want to make sure I am not hurting anything!

not really but you aren't taking full advantage of your mods.

I rode around for almost 6 months untuned after my mods. No damage was done, just a waste of money without the tune IMO.

As stated, you won't hurt anything. I'd say about 80% of people who do intakes and exhausts don't get their car tuned, ever. I've been guilty of this in the past but not anymore.

The only cases that you need to tune your car immediately is when you go FI or when you go with crazy cams with high lifters.

Ahh ok. I am definitely going to get it tuned but just wanted to make sure nothing was going to go wrong if I had waited 2 months to get it done after installing the RHFCs. What kind of hp and torque increase can you expect from these kinds of mods on the car when getting it tuned?

depending on the tuner I would guess 15-25 HP for intake and exhaust mods.
