We had the first ever Apex Rain Day and what a day it was. I run try and run in the rain a lot. The WRX is great fun in the rain. I or the track have never had conditions like yesterday. Big Bend was a pond. We were going to do jet ski school but decided to call it. All students are going to be able to reschedule for another day. We did run in the morning.

Yeah the morning session was good and probably wouldn't have been much faster if it was dry. We started out with an instructor sitting in-car with you to do some hard braking and get used to the ABS in the damp conditions.
Later we did some lead-and-follow laps where you would typically be following the dry line but instead we were on the outside wet line were it isn't as slick and "polished".
We then took an early lunch and continued to watch the rain come down and flood the final corner (Big Bend) before the last straight. After lunch we had another classroom session about the wet line at which point they decided to throw in the towel as the track conditions were unsafe at this point.
We will be rescheduling for April 14 or 15.

I almost forgot ... Randy decided to make an appearance in the Fire Truck, I guess he likes pain It's got to be weird seeing your old car out there whipping around the track. I think he's afraid that I'm going to pull better times than he did

If we had gone out for another couple runs we probably would have hired Randy to pull us out of the swamp that became of the final turn! That truck is a beast!!!
