2006 ZCCA Convention Proposal

As you guys well know the two local Z clubs are hosting the 2006 national ZCCA convention. Along those same lines ZCCA recently voted to allow clubs that are model specific, Like G35 or 350Z or 300ZX only, to join ZCCA. It is no longer a requirement to allow all Z models. The ZCCA charter also includes the G35. Now to my point.
If you are thinking about going to the convention the end of May 2006 you should consider joining Cowtown Z Club - at least temporarily. It is $35 for a family membership. This does two things for you.
1) It gets you a subscription to Sport Z Magazine, an $18 value and
2) Cowtown is a member of ZCCA so you automatically become a ZCCA member and can get the ZCCA member discounts at the convention.
The bottom line is that you spend a little money and save a lot more. Go to the www.zcca.org website and see the differences in the pricing for ZCCA members and non ZCCA members.
If folks are interested I need to talk to talk with my club and amend our constitution as it doesn't currently include G35's. That's fixable with a simple proposal and vote but I'll need to do it.

Joining can be as simple as going to our website, www.cowtownzclub.org, download the membership application and send it in along with a check - once I resolve the constitution thing.

Assuming all registrations were completed prior to 3/31/06 the costs for a ZCCA member vs a non-ZCCA member would be:
ZCCA / Non-ZCCA
Convention Registration $50 / $65
Car Show $40 / $50
Car Show Lunch $10 / $15
Track Day at Motorsport Ranch $100 / $130
Texas Motor Speedway $50 / $65
$240 / $325

Bottom line is that just registration for the convention plus ANY event and you'll be money ahead.
