DIY: OEM Coupe Trunk Spoiler Installation Instructions
OEM Coupe Trunk Spoiler Installation Instructions
Infiniti installation instructions for the G37 coupe OEM rear trunk spoiler (w/camera and brake light). Individual pages below due to file size, but feel free to grab them all and combine them into one .pdf - Hope this helps!
PS - Use a step drill bit for the mounting holes that have to be drilled into the trunk, and painters tape where you drill to prevent chipping.
Mods, please feel free to turn this into a sticky. I have another set of instructions for the OEM IPL front bumper I’ll scan and post later.

If the car was recently purchased or still in production I’m sure they’d do it for much cheaper, but on our older G37 cars I’m not sure. Our dealership is much more willing to eat accessory installs on a new car to make a customer happy. Not on a used car though unless there’s some serious $$$ getting made in the trade/purchase, or it’s a super brand loyal customer whos had 5+ vehicles of the same brand, never gone to a different dealership or service department, etc. Dealers operate very differently from one owner to another so YMMV (for anyone contemplating having a dealer install). Best bet would be to call around and get some quotes. Also for anyone contemplating- Don’t be afraid to try a quality body shop. They have more experience installing these panels and accessories 9/10 times compared to service technicians. But again, quality varies from shop to shop. It would be cheaper than an Infiniti service department installing it though, and they’ll be able to paint it so it’s all done at once. Some aren’t willing to do installs though. But worth a shot.

Scary true point…I’d honestly be nervous to ask a dealer what they would charge for labor now for a trunk spoiler install. I’m sure they’d say 3-4hrs of labor, and our local Infiniti shop is $200/hr. I’d guess $600-$1k depending on the shop etc, in labor only.

I agree that dealers are not interested in servicing our models. I have some long time service writers I've been going to for years that I use for things like transmission fluid exchanges, and they normally work with me on pricing if I call and BS a little with them first; I can also request certain techs, which makes a difference (i.e. if a tech knows a customer requested he/she, they take alot of pride in the work). I used the dealership for my spoiler install as I figured they could fix anything they screw up. They followed the instructions exactly and it turned out well and has held up over the years. Note that they did leave a nut or something inside the spoiler that was rattling around. I took it back and they removed, found the nut, then replaced.
But massive inflation over the past 3-4 years combined with Nissan's 'dead man walking' status has likely changed them since they now fighting for survival.

I DIY'd the spoiler on my G35 and was nervous the entire time. Feels like learning how to lay tile in your own house. You will eventually finish, but then look back on all the the things you would have done differently.
