We need a diffuser install DIY
I realize these installs are straightforward, but if anybody has a link to a diffuser install for rear bumper id appreciate it. Mine isn't fitting perfectly so I'm hoping a DIY or just some aurokits instructions for install would help. Thx
I'm confused... You say it isn't fitting perfectly but it will fit? What do you mean by that? How imperfectly is it fitting now? And I thought the diffuser is only for coupes since verts have different bumpers?
I would like a DIY for this just the same. I just got mine a couple of days ago and I am debating having a body shop install it. It seems like the two brackets on the bottom use the two body panel fasteners (plastic pop out thingies) and the rest of the diffuser is just attached using the 3M tape. The diffuser came with some clips/achors for some screws but there was no other hardware associated with it. Any help would be appreciated

The body clips are used exactly as you think they are. The rest is secured with 3M double sided tape.
If you have any reservations about being able to do this job yourself, I say take it to a shop. It shouldn't cost much at all and you'll def be pleased with the results if you allow the pros to do it for you.

Take the plastic bumper clips out of the bottom of your rear bumper, then wiggle the clips on the diffuser in between the bumper and reinsert the plastic bumper clips. Done and done.
Installed it just a few minutes ago. Prepped the surface with some alcohol and some stuff used to promote paint adhesion since I couldnt find the stuff specifically for 3M tape. The plastic fasteners on the bottom were tight but they snapped in.

Nice. Looks great! See that wasn't so hard was it.
But the questions you had were the same reason I started this thread. Well that and I thought the diffuser would fit my vert bumper but I was wrong sadly.

Yeah I love the look! Thanks for the help. I just wanted to make sure I didnt screw it up and have to waste a lot of time removing all the 3M tape and having to redo it. I just hope the 3M tape holds up in this desert heat. I couldnt have prepped the surface any better so we will see
Is it flush on the top portion by the license plate or does it jut out a bit? Previous owner of mine installed the same diffuser but the top portion sticks out like half a centimeter. Wasn't sure if it's worth taking it off an redoing it
