Hood Strut Replacement.
So like many other owners. I got tired of my G abusing me by smacking me in the head with its hood. So I decided to change out those struts. While at it I decide to make a DIY with before and after video as well.
Difficulty: 0-5 ; I'd rate these like a -5 in difficulty, yes a negative 5 it's that easy. I thought you need a friend to hold the hood but I just held it with my head while I pop in the new strut.
Tools needed: Small Flat Head.
Here's a full view of the hood strut

There are clips on both top and bottom of the strut holding it in place. Both have indention's to where you can place your flat head.

When you lift the clip with the flat head you just push it to the side and it'll pop off the ball joint.

Same thing with the bottom

Now the new struts they just pop onto the ball join. Put the bottom portion on first than clip the top strut in. Same thing for other side and you're done.
Before video with old struts

These are NOT OEM struts, they're actually aftermarket custom struts that I had a friend source for me. I do not have any information about them at the moment. They are a lot stronger lift than OEM that's for sure.

Hot dang! That was so EASY!!!
I just did this today and I can't believe how easy it was. If I knew it was going to be that easy I would have changed them a long time ago. It took about 60 seconds. I got two struts from RockAuto for $12.50 each, and all I had to do was pop the old ones off with flat head screwdriver. It took zero effort.
