DIY - Top Speed exhaust tip fix
DIY - Top Speed exhaust tip fix
For all you cry babies that bought the Top Speed exhaust that got the jagged edge tips.
Tools you'll need:
Die grinder with Sanding disk.
Fine grit sandpaper
Red scotch-brite
And lots of Patience
All I did was go round and round slowly on the edge with the sanding disk on my 90 degree die grinder and brought down the choppy edge. I then just took off the sharp edge with the fine sandpaper. I finished it off by swirling in circles inside the tip to give it that finished look.
Wala....

Yea that would be ideal I have a 90 degree angle grinder with the 2" sanding disks.Glad some of us could make it work without crying a river about it. Are you happy with the exhaust?
Don't get me wrong, I would've love to have a rolled tip, but overall, I'm happy. Had no fitment issues, even on both sides. Haven't driven her much yet but around the neighborhood it sounds great.

I'm still pissed off, the point of a group break is to get a discount, so a 449 exhaust for 385 shipped, not to get an exhaust missing $50-80 tips replaced with $15-20 tips. So the company made the same profit on 25 orders. It's bull****!

Let's be clear I don't think Bat6wc did anything wrong. Now Topspeed on the other hand pulled a bait and switch with the "original" exhaust. It took two weeks to get 25-40 people committing to an agreed "GROUP" "DISCOUNT". Instead we got a good for the money muffler-x-pipe but missing the tips pictured. *Idea*Send me tips like the originals and pay the swap cost. Or $500+ to make it right. Min 60 max 150 for tips plus cut and weld. Wow what a deal $50 more than they were listed 449 free shipping. It's the point not the $$
Looks like they cut down something like this and didn't grind the edge. So $40 Brand New Polished Stainless Angle Cut Exhaust Tip 2 1/2" IN 4" Out | eBay
