My car is only like 2 months old, and my clips were breaking left and right, so I dunno.., mine were just regular side skirts, so in the trash with them!

The clips are complete trash, parts department at the dealership told me they're really just for one time use. You're lucky if the clips don't break on you. And also be careful about yanking too hard, you can also break the tabs on the stock sideskirts itself.

Thats what happened to mine, broke most of the tabs on the driver side skirt. It's probably un-reusable anymore.

Yea, definitely not reusable if you pull them straight out. If you actually want to save the clips from breaking you have to rotate the clips before pulling them out. That takes up much more time, but does save you some money (those clips add up at the parts department) if you ever want to reuse the clips.

You have a VR with AK-X front right? Could you post a current pic of your ride?

Just noticed one of the bolts on each side is different. I believe its the one all the way up at the front of the skirt.

Hey,

I just installed the aero sides!

Couple of things though, this DIY doesn't include removing the diffuser did you guys not have to do that?

Also that white piece was a PITA to remove, but the kit came with the light blue grommet and instructions to remove that as well. I did that but managed to break the original grommet and it fell into the hole!!...

Doesn't look like there is an easy way to get the bit of plastic out... hope it won't make any rattle sounds..

Not that hard to do, just make sure all you bolts are off underneath

Yep, I got it done w/out pics. That 'grommet' clip was really pain to pull out. Had to tie a shoe lace around the pin part and pull with all my weight (rolled backwards and fell into a bush lol). I think you forgot to mention a step to remove the 'diffuser flap' that's attached at the end of the side skirt (or maybe i didn't have to remove it?) Thanks for the write up!

Wait, are the IPL side sills not just direct bolt-on on top of the existing sides? Do you have to remove the factory sides, then install the new IPL side sills?
