My order was 6.5' and I have 1.5' leftover, so you should have enough to make it with an inch overlap on each side like I did.

FWIW
The link I posted above goes straight to a ebay listing for 6.5' for $10.99. I originally paid 9.89 (not sure where I saw the $8 price (shrug))

I did not have to remove the wipers.

Just pull up the pop-clips, remove the compartment covers, remove the pop clips on the cowls and pull up the lower corner rubber window strip (6" piece)

My window was making popping noises and getting increasingly more frequent as the temperature dropped. I installed it last night, and this morning it was 20 degrees outside. Drove an hour to and from work without a peep.

It looks OEM:
In fact my '07 FX35 has a very similar strip in place straight out of the factory and never made a sound. Goodness knows why they stopped using it but I can say there are several more advanced things in my '07 FX that somehow got left off my '13 G37

Now that I've done it I could probably do it again in less time than it took to write up this post...maybe I just type slow.

Looks good, man. The middle part of the windshield was a little tougher to get it down in there, but no big deal. For anyone else trying this, maybe apply some protectant to the top side of the trim to "grease" it up a little so it slides under there easier?

Same here it was a real workout stuffing the strip under the middle section without removing the cowl.

But since the middle section is held on by a slide pin underneath I didn't want to chance disconnecting it and then have to remove the wiper arms to line it all back up again.

It really wasn't that bad though... apart from the tight center it could have taken 10 minutes.

Protectant is a great idea, that really should help.

another thing that might help stuffing it under the center area is either leave the car in the sun (if you live in a warm climate!), or heat the plastic cowl with a heat gun or hair dryer to make it a little more "pliable". dont cook the **** out of it.

i changed headlight bulbs in my wife's car in my garage last winter ... required removal of grille and some trim in front
i busted about 5 plastic clips and a couple tabs that they went into. i'll never try something like that again on cold plastic ....

So I may have this issue. I just bought the car and I have this annoying light squeaking noise coming from what I think is the windshield or the very edge of the dash against the windshield. Is this what were discussing or am I nuts?

So I bought the 6.5 foot J weather strip that others have mentioned. Removed the cowl, cleaned it, and put the cowl back with the strip and I still have the rattle. It seems mine is coming from the dash itself. Right by the driver's side windshield vent. I am wondering if anyone knows a fix or if the vent simply pops off so I can fix this annoying issue. Thanks.

I still have the roll of J stripping but since its been warmer I haven't needed it. I'll get to it this summer or something when I get in the mood for projects.

Awesome job on finding the J-strip. Will order and hopefully fixes this. Have taken my car to OC Infiniti in Westminster, CA only to be told there is no noise and they can't do nothing.
