Question on Paint Type for Grille
I am looking to paint my gille and I know that some of you have taken to a paint shop and had it done, but most have done it themselves.
For those who have DIY-ed it what type of paint did you use?

Rustoleum Sandable Black Auto Primer (#249418)
Rustoleum Metallic Enamel Finish "Black Night Metallic" (#7250830)
Rustoleum HIGH PERFORMANCE WHEEL CLEAR COAT (#248929)
The clear coat above is tougher (basically a little thicker finish) that standard clear coat enamels. It has held up well...No chips so far (600 miles or so since the grill paint).
Keep is good prep - some 400 and 800 grit sandpaper and A LOT of nice, thin coats.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and responses. I finally got up the courage today to paint the grille myself and it looks great.

Of course on the way home from work to paint the grille a dump truck in the right lane hits a barrel, the barrel bounces off the retaining wall on the right side of the road and rolls into th center lane were I am. I slam on the breaks and hit the barrel. So the whole way home I am sweeting what the front of my car looks like. I'm on I95 and not stopping to check. When I get home I look and relief, no damage! So plans to paint the grille were back on! I love the finished look!

^+1 congrats! It looks great. And that is definitely good to hear that there was no damage!! I had a school bus drive me into a curb so I know the feeling of dread when you hit the barrel.
