Definitely w0ady, grab one from one of the vendors (got mine from Andy at HPA). You SHOULD notice it DOES stiffen up the front end a bit. I still love mine and think it was a good investment. Now I love taking those clover-leaf on/off ramps even faster!

Nice DIY. Good to hear it helps out a little in the performance aspect too. If you think this will make you take on ramps faster, get some Hotchkis sway bars. The car will handle like its on rails. I fly through on ramps now. Was following my friend on the highway this weekend and we were taking a nice sharp on ramp and he was in his V6 accord coupe and i could have passed him on the inside of the ramp with the hotchkis bars.

What does this do as far as handling? Does it improve anything or is it mainly for looks?

Basically it stiffens the front end. Like I said in a previous post, when I'd take an on-ramp at higher speed, I'd feel like one of my front wheels wasn't firmly planted to the road. Now with the GTSpec bar, I feel like both front tires are glued to the road when taking sharper turns. I think it was worth the investment, and yeah, it doesn't hurt that it's a sexy engine bay mod.

Great write up...just installed mine this weekend. I actually used 4 credit cards on each side. No rubbing issues yet.

Thanks,
Shaun

OK just installed mine. Great write up. Easiest install...ever!

One thing to note is that with the CF engine cover you can lower the bar all the way down and not rub the engine cover or hood so big bonus there. I guess the CF is thinner than OEM.

Thanks man! Glad I could help. Hope you notice the tighter cornering....take your G out on a nice curvy entrance/exit ramp and see how much firmer the steering feels.
