2010 delta

BB, just completed my F & R sway install with this reference. Thanks for the write up. One thing to note, on the 2010 rear sway bracket fasteners, they are bolts not stud/nut as depicted here. Just wanted to point that out for informational purposes.

I have the front and rear Hotchkis bars on my 08 G37 S. I had to recently replace the left rear sway bar end link. I don't know if it failed due necessarily to a relatively weak stock part or because maybe it was not sufficiently tightened when originally installed. Regardless, I would like to ask if anyone knows if these bars are supposed to be "loaded" when installed? I.E., does the suspension need to be loaded before bolting them in to work as originally designed?

Thanks for any input you may have!

-James

I am pretty sure I installed them with ramps, therefore , loaded. I don't think I could have connected them otherwise.

Now that I think about it I had the car jacked up on the rear diff to replace the left rear end link, so in fact the rear suspension was "unloaded". Am I not getting the full effect of the rear bar now??

Thanks,
James

If it's connected, it's connected. It will settle into place via the endlinks, either way. Some cars are just harder to connect without the suspension in the right spot, usually loaded. You should be fine. I have had mine on over a year and it's cold and I can hear them. I Need some new grease in the bushings.

Sorry to start this again, but can anyone comment on if removing the rear bar would require removing the exhaust pipes, i have stillen catback on my sedan and there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to take the old bar out and put the new one in, especially with the shape of the bar.

Got mine in the garage ready to install when time allows. I'll sure use this as a reference, thanks...
