which is entirely why the aftermarket automotive world was born.. same can be said about exhausts, intakes, wheels, tuning products, suspension products.. anything created..

Automotive manufacturers create products for the masses, and a lot of what goes into building a car for the masses revolves around doing "enough" or what should be "satisfactory"..

Others strive for maximum performance..

Can someone explain what exactly does this do? Not the improvements, like literally what does it do? Any long term side effects?

It grounds your car better. The better electrical equipment is grounded, the better it usually runs. No side effects that I know of.
