Cleaning gummy adhesive residue from dash

Just bought a 2010 G37X. I'm going over the car and I noticed some gummy adhesive residue on the dashboard. The previous owner must have stuck some device there and removed it. What would be the best way to clean the left over adhesive? It's kind of sticky and rubbery. Would soap and water be a good start? How about Windex? I don't want to damage or discolour the black dashboard material. Thank you!
