Good wax

So I have a slate blue g37 and just got done purchasing a porter cable with a bunch of other crap to try and buff out some of these scratches and water spots. Was wondering what would you guys recommend to bring out the shine in the slate blue after everything is said and done

IDK I am a Meguiars guy myself. Turtle Wax is good too...been around forever. For the imperfections you are speaking of though you might wanna clay bar the car before you wax it. Its a long @ss process so you are gonna need time but apparently the results are amazing. Also Meguiars used to have a 3 stage wax set up you could buy. It had a stripper for light contaminates, a buffer "wax", and a polishing wax. Not sure if they still have that or not. But they have everything from water spot remover, wheel cleaner, all the way to headlight restoration polish. Great products, easy to use and fairly easy on the pockets. You can get most stuff at Pep Boys. Good luck

our paint jobs are metallic if you really want that metallic flake to pop i highly suggest using a crystalline sealant should use wax on a pearl paint job.

Yea I got some meigures compound and polish coming with the porter cable and a bunch of pads plus the autoscrub which is suppose to be a clay alternative that you can use on the Porter cable as well. A lot of reviews say it works the same as claybar so I'm gonna try it. Only thing now I'm searching for is a good wax to use

Hmm yea I didn't know whether to use a wax or sealant I read wax is good for darker paints and sealants for brighter ones??? I guess the slate blue isn't really considered dark though is it.... I look at it's to much in my garage lol

Whats your budget on wax you know there are waxes ranging from 20-1000 dollars most meguiars products from over the counter are watered down.

ehhh dark color cars are gonna look good regardless wax or sealant, sealant adds gloss and wax adds this warm glowing shine to it. some people like to add sealant then top with wax.

We'll this is all a first for me as my previous two cars didn't please me enough to want to make it shine so I'm all learning right now. Guess I would want to start out with something good but not to expensive

I purchase all my products from Chemical Guys.........if your paint is really scratched up you might want to check YouTube videos from Chemical Guys....they fully explain how to get the best possbile finish. I have a obsidian black 2014 Q 60 and the fisrt thing I did after getting it how was cut the paint and polish. I used a total of 5 different products from start to finish.......I now have a custom look finish. Worth the effort and money.
