Trying to get weather tech mats for my car. What's the difference between the floor liner and the floor mats?

The floor liners make the inside of your car look like a work truck, vinyl all the way up to the top of the carpet.

I bought a set of their mats for my car but sent them back, the fit wasn't quite right. I might get a set of the liners to use for next winter.

I love my custom Aries mats:
Amazon.com: Aries IN00611502 Tan Front 3D Floor Liner - 2 Piece: Automotive Amazon.com: Aries IN00611502 Tan Front 3D Floor Liner - 2 Piece: Automotive

They are super lightweight & durable, but look just like carpeting. Much more classy looking than WeatherTech.

WeatherTech did not have a set of floor liners custom made for my 2009 G37 Convertible. I was initially pissed off, but now I'm glad they didn't because if they had I probably would not have discovered the Aries product.

Good luck!

WOW. Thanks for showing me this company. They have a location in Atlanta. I'll check them out and let you know what I find.

Floor liners are more fitted for the specific car. Mats are all purpose, fit all different cars. Just got the liners myself. I really like them considering snow will begin to fall in MA soon. I look at them as an investment because it will retain value of the car.

I have the floor liners as well - love them. The only gripe I have is the sides near the door are a little waffley and not straight but I think I am going to attach some adhesive velcro to the side of the mats there and hope it catches the carpet and keeps it more stable.

Highly recommend the floor liners. Got them about 1.5 years ago and they've worked really well.

To me, if the decision is close, I will go with USA made Weather Tech. I like Americans. I'm funny that way. LOL.

I just installed the Weather Tech digital fit floor mats in my sedan. They fit great and do their job of keeping the dirt and water off the carpet. The only thing I wish they would have done is make the rear one one piece and cover the driveshaft hump like the oem carpeted mats. I cut and added a piece of carpet to keep the original carpet clean. I also added the wind deflectors. Great fit and easy to install. Really low profile and no wind noise. Both products are highly recommended.
