What is clay bar? Would that help the scratches at all? I've found this detailing place that does that to so I was wondering. They also will do:
Clay all Painted areas as needed
Machine Buff Exterior to Remove Light to Medium Scratches & or Dull Oxidized Paint
Machine Polish Exterior to Remove Swirl Marks & Produce Glossy Shine
Application of Wax
Apply Polymer Paint Sealant
Molding & Trim Dressed to Protect from the Elements
Detail Logos & Trim to Remove Excess Wax Residues

Would this fix the problem?

 

When it comes to detailers looking at their menu wont determine if they are good or can fix the problem. Anyone can say what they will do certain things but are they any good at it?

The best is through referral, if thats not an option than see if you can view samples of their work.
As others mentioned the local car wash with the specials for higher end detail may not be the best route.
Then there are also detailers that claim they are professional but are no better than the local car wash.
Even though your swirls look bad to you now, a bad detail and your car can look a lot worse.

It depends what you consider a good job and if that definition matches the detailer you are considering.

Trust me I know. They say they do all this and it can make things worse. They said they will do a little sample so i will see how that goes. But what I listed is very expensive. They said they will do that all and the whole interior for $175! but I'm still looking around.

Okay so FINALLY I made my first move to get these surface scratches out!! I bought supplies from detailed image today and it cost $270!! But it will HOPEFULLY be will worth it at the end of the day! Can't wait to get my package!! Just ordered Menzerna products and Blackfire sealant and a Porter Cable! I hope This works!!

 

It can get addicting nano lol. What happen to your uncles polisher you were going to borrow?

 

Lol! Ya it can get addicting!!! And my uncles polisher? Lol. Well I told detailed image's greg about the situation and he just persuaded me to buy the PC and that's what I did. So I just hope this all works out. Ill post pictures of my results when I get the time to polish my car.

 

Make sure you update us when you get all them swirls off nano.

 

I for surely will! But it will take time cuz I've been caught up in a ton of work.

 

I also have black exterior and I used Turtle was for lack cars only with buffer and it worked great!

i have an orbital buffer Wen 6" Orbital Buffer Polisher Model 6010 : Amazon.com : Automotive would this work to remove these scratches/swirls?

 

That won't be enough to get rid of the swirls. PC 7424 is probably the cheapest polisher available.

 

been reading on the pc 7424 ive bought from autogeek and i see they have them in packages as well... which would you prefer? cost wise and resultwise
