Rain-X

How is this product? I've seen videos online and it seems very useful, how useful is it to you?

I use the washer fluid and the additive ans I really don't have to put on my wipers unless it's raining VERY hard.

Works great.

Works great but you will have to be willing to take the time to reapply often. I have the dealer applied coating and it lasted about a year. Time to go get my free re-application.

You can buy them anywhere. Target, Wallmart, Pepboys, Autozone, etc.

As an oregonian that experiences a ton of rain, I dislike rain-x.

Some parts will wear down and become uneven, and when you need to use the wipers it can cause the wipers to vibrate/skip/smear. You have to apply it periodically to prevent this.

It's just easier to keep the wipers in good shape.

stuff is awesome if your use it regularly, I also find with enough coats of it built up on your windshield, it even deflects those nasty bugs in the summer

I agree it does work great for bugs too. You have to be very particular on your application to avoid streaks and prolong it's effectiveness. I used to find it streaky and really started to pay attention to how I put it on and made sure the windshield was stripped before I started. I live in a rainy Maritimes province and get a good 6 months out of an application for a fraction of the cost of Aquapel (which is also a good product).
