Everything's in this thread. For me, a cutting polish and a random orbital.

A fresh coat of paint. Works 100% perfectly every time.

Swirl removal on an entire car by hand is like cutting down a large tree with a hand saw. Yes, if you work hard and long enough at it you will accomplish it, but why would you do that when there's a chainsaw (random orbital or circular polisher) that's the right tool for the job? Either get one or call a lumberjack (or a real detailer) to do it for you.

Go buy a Flex polisher, some good foam pads, all levels and the product line of your choice. There are so many out there that do the job.

If you have any questions, call Phil at detailersdomain and he will walk you thru the process.

If you are working by hand try a one step polish like Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205.

If you are interested in a buffer you can expect noticeably better results. The PC 7424 XP I linked below in the kits is very safe and easy to use. I'd highly recommend one of two kits:
DI Packages Porter Cable 7424XP & Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Starter Kit 5" Free Bonus
DI Packages PC 7424XP with M105, M205 and 5.5" pads

Let me know if you have any questions after reading the descriptions.
