Help waterless wash - is OID is good enough?
waterless wash - is OID is good enough?
Hi,
I'm back again with some questions.
I have a black BO 09. I wash it once a week with ONR. But it's pretty dusty here in San Diego and I can see layer of dust after few minutes of washing
(
So I'm planning to remove layer of dust once in-between my wash cycle ( normally, Wednesday) using waterless wash. For this purpose, can I use Optimum Instant Detailer? I searched online but I couldn't find whether it can safely be used on ligh dust.
I also have ONR and Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer spray but not sure whether they'll serve the purpose.
Any recommendation for the best product to use?
Thanks in advnace for all the help.
Regards,
bik

OID and Megs UQD can both be used to remove light dirt, dust, and other loose contaminants. Having said that, I do not have any personal experience with either product and can't comment on their effectiveness. My two favorite waterless wash QDs are Poorboys Spray & Wipe and Chemical Guys Go Green (with the S&W being my favorite). I hope that helps somewhat.
Your best bet in my opinion would be to use the ONR as a quick detailer. It's perfectly fine to use that way. I do it all the time. It has more "lubrication" than a QD. After using the ONR, I'd follow that up with some Blackfire Deep Gloss Spray. It will help make your black paint "pop" in between washes.
I used this exact combination on my old BO and absolutely loved it.
