Got Rock Chips?

I got rock chips on my front bumper; some small and large. Does anyone know any DIY products I can use to fix them. I took to long to buy the clear bra and I can't put the bra on until I fix them. I talked to a couple of body shops and they just want to paint the entire bumper. There are like 12-15 chips.

Go to the dealer and get some touch up paint, thats probably your best bet. I have to make my way to the dealership my self.

Get Dr.color chip. look it up online and order. it is 100 times better then the paint pen from the dealer. i have used it on both my fx and G and love the results. Almost gets it back to 100% new.

no point in repainting the bumper unless you planned on doing clear bra right after. chips are bound to happen, so I just leave mine

I don't know about how it will work if you have the self healing clear coat. But on a normally clearcoated car the stuff is like magic. I used it on a Black Sapphire metallic paint on my Volvo S60R and it came out looking great. Read the Dr Color Chips site carefully as they cleary say what colors it works well with and what types of chips/scratches it will or will not repair with good results. And best of all - it is easy to use. Looked 1000 times better than the one chip I tried to fix using Volvo's two stage touch up paint. I'll bet I did 100 chips on my Volvo over the 6 years I owned it.

edit - LOL at myself - obviously if you have a chip that is visible the self healing clear coat there is gone!
