Polishing is Hard

Polishing is hard. I have a PC and PO106FF and it takes a lot of energy to polish. No wonder some people think the PC is not enough.

how long odes it take u guys to polish the entire car?

It depends. Several hours to be sure. I have about 4 hours so far and about another hour or so of polishing to go before glazing, sealing, and waxing. I have a Flex now and it's a bit easier than the PC. Doing it right takes time, but you'll get better/quicker. As you learn to take proper care if your finish, you'll have to polish only once or twice a year and it won't be as hard.

Takes me about 2-3 hours to do a one-step polish with my Cyclo. Not counting wax/sealant/etc. My first time took me about 5. Had no idea what I was doing, but after some Q&A here, it made it much easier.

I'd say 3 hours is about average. First time I tried out my PC was on my friends jeep and it probably took us about 5 to do that. You get quicker as you go, but it still takes time to do a proper job. I'm just dreading when i have to do my dad's EXT. It already needs some work done. That thing is probably gonna take 6+ to do.

I tried Polishing up a 97 Sentra Nissan, that was pretty hard thing to do. Glad I have two cars I can try at home before attempting on my G lol

It totally depends on the condition of the paint, polish used, and pads used. OP, are you using 4" pads or 6" pads?

I am using a 6inch pad with PC. I am using Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0 (**** polish but my friend gave it away since he doesnt detail anymore) and then I use Mez P0106ff. I am probably going to order Mezerna Intenseive Polish.

I order the starter kit from DI so I only have 6inch pads.

How much pressure do you guys use. It gets existing having to put pressure on the buffer while working on side panels.

Try switching to 4" pads as they offer more cutting power than a 6" pad.

A short rolling detailing/mechanic's stool helps a lot.
