so I have had the car for a full 2 weeks now.. and it looks like a giant swirl mark.. I have taken it back to the dealers twice now and still nothing..i gave up on them and am going to do it myself.. but i was just washing the car and noticed two big chips already..is the paint on this car really thin?

Yes, in most people's opinion the clear coat is a bit soft. Spend a good amount of time reading here and then buying here.

sending someone to read a 45 page thread is like telling someone to find a needle in a haystack.. if you have read that thread and there is a solution to my problem, please just post it up in here..

Well first, what did they do at the dealer? Not wash it i hope. A clear bra on the front will help protect against rock chips, but eventually all cars will get them.

congrats on the new car! I have quite a bit of swirls on mine too, but its nothing a professional detailer can't handle.

I love my swirls, it makes the car sparkle a little different than those super shiney cars...forget that.. give me some channels of reflection. Black cars are the best for this too! Anyway be prepared to hait the paint on your car within the next year.

Ouch. Gotta agree with everyone here. Paint stinks. Until you repaint the whole damn car after 5+ years of meticulous care , get a clear bra. My installer used Llumar (spelling?). Don't go through the dealership, use word of mouth and find someone good.

My car's OB and I purchased it right after we had hella snow (6" = 30 year record in Vegas ), so I made the mistake of taking it back to the dealer for detailing and water spot removal (buffing, nooo!). Scratch shield or not, swirl marks still persist weeks later. I'm just waiting for the clear bra to dry and I'm going to Zaino the hell out of it. We'll see if I can get away with not polishing it this time around...
