Help! Random Orange spot on my trunk..

So after picking up my car from the shop and going over the car with a QD, I noticed this orange spot on my trunk lid. I have no clue what it is/where it came from. After I wiped off the orange crust, I realized it stained my paint for a lack of a better word. Now there is an orange spot on the paint but it's almost as if it's ingrained in it, theres no texture to it....I'm at work right now and dont have pics but I'll try to take one with my camera phone and post up if you guys give me about 10 mins. I tried letting the QD soak in for a few minutes, that didnt work. Help! thanks!

I'll reserve final judgement until I see your pics but claybar or a polish might do the trick.

FAILED. I went outside to take a picture with my phone and my battery has been so crappy lately that when I tried to send the pic to myself so I can post, the phone dies. So no picture until I get home from work. However, it's exactly as I describe, it's a really small (less than a cm in diameter) oval that is orange. no texture at all, it is "one with the paint" I guess I should say.

BTW: would i need a fine or medium grade clay bar?

any auto part store, its a wax, its like a step 1...cleans the paint prior to a wax....white always gets stains...

i don't think claybar will get rid of what you have. i'd go ahead and try some sort of paint cleaner. mcguiars, zaino.. or if you have some sort of light polish, that should do

i rubbed but i was afraid to mar the paint. I'll give it another try later on. I did notice on my applicator pad some orange came off.
