Blue Tape Questions

Help por favor!!

I am driving back to school for finals. Its about an hour and a half drive from SF to Santa Cruz. I plan on blue taping both bumpers, and side skirts and i have a few questions.

Does blue tape hurt the paint in any way?

After the trip, do I take off the blue tape and then reapply it after finals (which is 4 days from Monday)?

Thanks alot guys

Blue tape is fine... Just don't keep it on there for days and days... Perfectly fine for that drive, but I'm curious if it's really necessary. Are the roads really back with rocks or trucks throwing stuff up or something?

If I had to even think of doing that to my car I would have to consider never driving it on any roads at all......

I think it is because theres this highway 17 where it is like the mountain roads you see in Europe. No lie. It is really fun to drive but also dangerous. Anything can happen in the mountains. I rather be safe then sorry. Ill put blue tape on right before i leave to school. Then when i get there, ill take it off. Sounds good. Thanks once again Blackjack!

Gotcha... I'd look into getting a ClearBra ASAP. You seem to want to keep it in tip top shape so you'd like it. I've had it on 2 cars so far and put it on my parents 07 G35 and will put it on every nice car I have going forward.

You don't have a money tree? Just water it. It'll grow some.

Make sure you use multiple layers.

Since you live up north, have you heard of the "Blue Tape Run".

I recommend using as many layers as you think you need. I made the mistake of not doing this to my G35 when I went up to lake tahoe last year. My bumper was f***ed up! It looked like I ran through a puddle of white paint.

Yup. There were so many rock chips, it looked like I took a spray bottle with white paint in it and just sprayed my front bumper.
