Where can i get a clear bra and smoked/tinted overlays? And also will I need to install them myself?

I live in STL, MO.

 

check up the member blue batmobile for the overlays, i dont have them myself but plan to sometime. as for clear bra, i live in virginia so maybe someone else can help you with that

I don't read original threads. I would avoid installing them yourself. There is a place in the Chicago suburbs that will do tinting + clear bra for roughly $450 and its high quality. They work on more exotic cars, like Lamborghini, than our G37s, so I'm not worried.

 

do they provide the bra? I thought the clear bra itself cost $200-$400 and then you had to either install it yourself or pay to have it installed.. already got my car tinted.. not sure if i would like to pay a few hundred for the bra and another two or three hundred just to have it installed.

 

From what I was told by a fellow G37S owner he said that exact place will install a clear bra (that they provide-3M) and tint for $450. There is some discount for getting both the bra and tint.

I'm going there Monday to check it out and get an estimate.

 

Sounds good, if that ends up being accurate and i cant find anything better here in STL i might just make the road trip. The guys that did my tint have screwed up twice now so if they arent going to fix it for free again (and do it right this time) i might just have that place in chi tint it too.

 

Alright, correction. I went in today for a quote and they guy told me $175 for tint (all 5 windows) and $475 for the clear bra. You get $50 off when you do them at the same time so its $600 for both. From what I've read on reviews the place is quality so I will probably just pay the $600 and get it done.

 

^ Is the Clear Bra Hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors? That would be a very good price if so. The list on my install was about $900. For all mentioned above.

600 for bra AND tint is outstanding! Make they use good material and ask for pics of previous jobs to make sure it will be a clean install. I called around today in So Cal, found a list of certified 3M installers on the web. Lowest price was around 595 and highest was 1120, both OTD price.

 

that is a rediculously good price that also includes tints!! I paid 650 for my clearbra alone and I thought it was pretty good pricing. Got 1/3 hood, full front bumper, headlights, side mirrors, and both rocker panels/side skirts.

 

I'm getting my car done Monday so I'll let you all know how it goes.
