i'm getting my sealant done at a honda dealership for $30 (under the table) - my frend is the one who will be doing for me when the dealership is closed.
would you all recommend that I claybar, then use mother's glaze, then 2-3 layers of wax? then let him do the sealant?
yea, for 30 dollars. claybar, polish, glaze, then wax. isnt the wax and sealant basically the same thing? can we use both at the same time. like one layer of wax then one layer of sealant, so on..? would it makes any difference?

No. The wax would go on after the sealant. Just do it yourself.
Seriously, don't do it. Please listen to George on this one and save yourself $250. I can pretty much guarantee that this doesn't include properly prepping the paint (claybarring, polishing, etc), so paying $250 for a sealant and an interior detail is crazy.
He is going to fully prep the car for me before he applies the sealant (wash, clay, polish etc.). He said that he has a machine that he uses to apply the sealant.

You can buy all the gear to do it yourself for that price and have product for a lot more times.
Whatever you do, don't go to The Detail Factory near Mission in SF. They quoted me $250 to remove swirl marks but ended up charging me $350 for it. In the end they didn't do anything but apply a sealent on it. Swirls were just hidden under the sealent.

If that's the case and he's a reputable detailer, than it's not a bad price. That is basically what I charge for a full detail, excluding interior.
