any complaints of the Clear Bra?
Mine is still new so I can't comment on how long it lasts as it's my first one. My complaint is that when I waxed my car after it was on, the wax is difficult to get from around the edges of the film creating a slight white line around the edges of the panels where it's applied. Also, get your car clayed and buffed and any swirl marks, rock chips, or scratches out of the finish before it's applise becasue once the film is over them they are there forever.
nope no issues here. Have over 6k miles on the clock now and no chipping whatsoever. Love this stuff. Too bad they don't make anything for the windshield. Just got a nice sized spider crack
****, there are rock chips on my hood now . my parents do not want me to waste money on a clear bra.
My only complaint is I didn't have enough $$$ to cover the entire car. The installers who did mine routinely do this for expensive cars.
Of course, then I'd have to justify $10K or so for a $50K car.

This was at Premier. I'd asked a general question after hearing that a lot of the higher end car owners have their entire car covered. They get a clear bra, and then after a few years notice that the part that ain't covered doesn't look as good as the part that is.
The guy I spoke to estimated 10k-15k, depending on the body styling of the car.
15k would be cheap, considering that most cars they do the whole thing for have gotta be $300k+ cars.

If you're someone who takes car of your car (wash, clay, wax, etc) then you have nothing to worry about if you just clear bra the front of your car. To put a clear bra on the entire car for a G37 is ridiculous. Clear bra on the front is a great investment because most of the damages from driving happens to the front of the car.

I did go for the full hood though, and I'm sooooo glad that I did. No chips and the car looks great. I did get a few chips above where the fender covered though, but it's not too noticeable. I had this done on my previous G35 and never once regreted getting it done.

I took my car back to Premier for my 30 day follow up (well, more like 90 days since I've been so busy through the holidays) and they had another Bugati in there that was all black! I didn't even notice the Lambo sitting next to it! I just bout nutted in my pants! This is a grade A shop and the work / service is pretty darn good.
My coworker had his BMW 335 done by the dealership and it looked like ****. They even scratched his car in the process. My buddy had his done at a company in Socal called techaero, aeroarct, or something like that it came out pretty bad with a lot of bubbles on the mirrors and bumper. They told him, it's black and you see everything! He came up to the Bay for Christmas and I sent him over to Premier to get it redone. They took the bra off and found a lot of scratches as well. Premier gets my big thumbs up.

I don't understand why anyone would pay $15k for a clear bra. It seems to make more sense to repaint it if there are any problems.
They aren't porcelain dolls, they are cars! I had a clear bra on my 350Z, the dealer wanted $600 but I talkd to them down to $350 and it was a 3.5 star job. It definitely helped compared to the other 350Zs on the road. They had tons of marks and scratches b/c the paint was so soft and the bumper was flat.
That being said, it was 3M clear bra and when big rocks hit it, the clear bra got pock marked. Not to mention sap and bugs were impossible to get out!
Conversely, with my paint, I just used some 3M rubbing compound and polishing compound and it looks better than new.
So in short, I wouldn't spend more than $500 for the clear bra and I wouldn't expect it to be a miracle cure-all.
I am more worried about my rear bumper getting messed up by bad parallel parkers. Have you seen this product? I want it but can't bring myself to actually using it. http://www.chariotauto.com/

Please remember, this is $10-15K for having the entire car done. They cover everything with the paint film. It's a custom job at that point, and usually only done on very high end cars.
My clear bra, full custom hood and tint ran somewhere around $1500, and they did a great job.
