Anyone have the Clear Bra installed?
I'm totally on the fence. Based just on looks and having a beautifuly detailed car, I'd skip it. But my commute is on major congested highways with lots of trucks, and my last car was pretty beat up by rock chips, constant bugs, etc. So it's a practical thing.
I didn't get it through the dealer because it was expensive ($1,000) and they didn't offer any custom options like getting either more or less of the standard kit done. They did refer me directly to the shop that does their work so I could ask about a custom job.
Rather than the 3M Clear Bra product I'm looking at a similar product called Venture. Anyone hear of it? I think it may be owned by 3M but it's used on a lot of higher end Euro cars and has a much smoother surface than the regular 3M product. Anyone have experience with it? I don't know how it compares to Xpell.

I had the Venturesheild clear bra on my g35, comes with a lifetime warranty. Its a great product. But they all are pretty much the same, the difference is in the workmanship. If the person doesnt know what he is doing, any film is gonna look bad. So ask for referrals in your area or check out a shops work on other customers cars.
I also have the Ventureshield clear bra, I got the full 50" width on my hood, complete front bumper, both complete fenders including lights, mirror backs, splash guards behind front wheelwells, front of rear wheelwells, and door handle wells. NOT cheap, but, well worth it. Lady backed into me, quite a bit of paint xfer from her car, but, came right off and installer heated it up a little, and looks pristine. Will own have another car without it.
I'm scheduled for the clear bra installation next wednesday but I already got a couple very small chips on the front bumper. Any suggestions on what to do before I get the clear bra installed? I hear the clear bra would not go on smoothly if there are small chips
