Whenever I get my car cleaned I have to make sure there is no extra tire shine on the tires because in the first week I've had the car my splash guards are alreay stained yellow from tire shine. What is a good water based tire shine to use that wont do that to the paint ?

 

either Poorboys or Zaino. both are water based tire shines.

 

What i do is make sure there is a good coat of Zaino especially in these areas to protect the IPpaint to not soak up the chemical

 

^+1 Since the splash guards are port installed, they may lack enough protectant when they were painted on this side of the ocean. For IP regardless whether you have splash guards or not, extra layers of sealant / polish / wax is a good preventative measure.

 

How liberally is the tire shine applied? Is it sprayed directly on the tire?

Although it doesn't get that really really "wet" look, I have taken to applying tire shine with a pad to limit the excess left on the tire.

 

just put some of that clear bra crap on the splash guards.
