On a side note, where do you vancouver guys do oil changes?

^ $175!!! LOL! what a joke. just buy your own oil, filter, and washer. either DIY, or take your car to an independent shop and they'll do the labour for $20-$25. keep your receipts. done, simple. and for less than 1/2 the cost. no appointment required either.

i take my G to a quick-change place in Richmond near my work. $20, and it takes 15 minutes. i get out and watch everything they are doing. never had a problem. they also do simple fluid changes as well with my supplied fluids, like diff and tranny, for a fraction of dealer labour.

Great Idea, but if you DIY then your warranty is not covered. Doesnt matter if you have the reciepts it was not done by a certified Nissan/infiniti mechanic. And it has to have an infiniti time stamp on the oil change.

^ another good one, but incorrect. sounds like the stealership has you brainwashed!

you can DIY or have an independent shop do your routine maintenance. and no, you don't need a certified Infiniti mechanic date-stamp it. you can have your own mechanic date stamp it, or simply save the receipts with dates. of course, most receipts also have you vehicle info on it as well which is helpful.

most people never actually fill in the maintenance book, they just keep their own records or save receipts. this topic has been covered many times, including this forum, with many references to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975

to be clear - DIY or taking your vehicle to a qualified 3rd party shop does not void warranty.

Looks like the email sent off to city council did some good. I was contacted by Delta risk management today and they want me to forward an estimate for the damage.
My next move is to consult with my Insurance company (if my rates are going up Delta can pay for the whole estimate not just the deductible.)

So I bought some wiper refills @ the dealer $43 after tax for a set. I was expecting it to be $10 a piece but no, it was $19.xx a piece.

Googled the part number on my phone and with shipping to point roberts would be $27 for the set and then add $3 fee that the letter carrier charges would come to $30. So I just purchased at the dealer instead of going down to the states to save $13. But damn...$43 for a set of REFILLS.

Friend told me to buy this oil and said its 100% synthetic unlike Mobil1. He said they ship from within Canada. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/oef.aspx Is this good?

I would like to say your right, but your not because I have had warranty issues before and they denied them because it was not done at infiniti or nissan. So unfortunately I know by experience. All that was done, was I took it to a certified mechanic at a shop and had the receipts, infiniti told me that anyone could have changed the dates at a shop that was not infiniti. Sorry to burst your bubble
