Hi Guys,

in canada we need daytime running lights. On my 2011 G37, the full lighting system is on at all times. Full headlights, parking lights, rear tail lights. it dosent matter where you set the lighting on the control arm by the steering wheel.

is this how Infiniti setups the daytime running lights (all lights on, all the time)?

my G35 was not like this.

This interior lights switch from day to night mode as normal. so it seems as if they want the sytem to be like this. i dont see why the full headlights and tail lights should be on at all times...

anyone else with DRL let me know how their car is..

that sounds wierd. the DRLs shouldn't be the full HID headlights. and all the other parking/tail lights shouldn't come on either. do you have your auto sensor set too liberally? unless they changed the 2011's that sounds wrong - otherwise why have the control arm at all?

 

Like I said in the the other thread all 2010 and 2011 Gs I've seen and driven only have the headlights come on as DRLs. Did you buy a new Canadian car?

Well that's news to me. I've never seen any other 2010 or 2011 setup that way.

Maybe it's a new thing. When you take your car in for service see how the loaner's DRLs are setup or maybe try another dealer and see how there's are set up.

got the answer back from Infiniti.

the 2011 G37 for canada has all exterior lights on at all times.

only the interior will switch from ay to night mode.

i saw otehr 2011's and they were the same.

strange decision on infintis part...

 

So they did change it for 2011.
