Paid $65.12 for oil change at the stealership!

Here is the breakdown:

$33.88 (Labor)
$7.00 (Oil Filter)
$1.00 (Gasket)
$13.00 (Regular Engine Oil)

$2.75 (Environmental Fee)

$2.88 (GST)
$4.61 (PST)
------------
$65.12 (Total)

Pretty expensive for a simple oil change I would say!

Just sharing the info!

if you are talking about a warranty issue with a blown motor, the oil used won't effect that in any way

I'm not sure why you are paying that much for ester oil. If Infiniti recommends ester oil due to an issue with THEIR engine (knocking sound), then they should pay for the difference.

That's ridiculous!

That's pretty standard for a oil change on a luxury brand car.

no matter what kind of car, luxury or clunker, the oil change is basically the same...just DIY and save yourself a ton of money, plus getting to spend some quality time under the hood of the car

yes, I am as a matter of fact it is a factor.

just had my entire motor replaced, and noted on the ro was with asteriks
***customer has had several oils changes at dealership.***

say what you want I got a new motor with no crap from the dealer.

I'll bet quite a bit of people get denied by corporate for new block.

all I can say is that it was a blessing.

just b/c you had your oil changes done at the dealership has no effect on what oil goes in your car. I had the dealership do my first 2 oil changes and I took my own oil in for them to use.

that's great that they didn't give you any issue, but I promise you the type of oil you use has no effect on that process whatsoever

If you look at the breakdown (and ignore the high Canadian taxes) the bulk if Labor, probably only 20-30 mins worth assuming labor rate is about $80-90/hour. The supplies look reasonable. Dealership labor is not cheap.
