April 2009 Infiniti Canada discounting

Anybody know what Infinity Canada did with the cash discount levels?

Was 3.5K in March 2009 and due to change April 1.

Anybody know?

I'm not sure about the cash discount. The finance/lease rate is 2.9%.

CarCostCanada only has the cash discount at $2,500.00. Is it $2,500 or $3,500 as I am currently looking at purchasing a new G37.

According to both CarCostCanada (which I used to purchase my G37xS last week) and www.carquotes.ca/rebates/infiniti.html the incentives this month are $2,500 manufacturer rebate and 2.9% up to 60 months for the sedan (coupe is less of a rebate, must be selling better). Note that these are stackable. Last month was also $2500 but the financing offer was 3.5% (what I got last week but I can't complain because I got pretty good leverage on the price given it was month-end). I did quite a bit better than $2500.

I walked into Markham Infiniti (in Toronto.) not long ago and spoke to an individual by the name Jason and he was quoting me $1,000 factory credit but ridiculously high finance rate (ie. around 6.9%) on the G37 coupe.

Anyone getting these outrageous quotes elsewhere? I suppose he probably knows I am not serious into buying so he may have just give me a casual response.

I don't think it makes sense to tell you the wrong finance rate, as in my experience as a sales consultant for Honda, that we don't get anything for financing the customer at a higher rate, in fact, for us it only makes sense to try to get them the absolute lowest rate, as it lowers their monthly payment & the rates come from Honda corporate (so the dealer loses nothing by offering the lowest finance rate possible).

Honest mistakes do happen, he may've been thinking of a different car. I once gave a customer who said he was in a hurry a quote on the wrong trim line of a particular model.

G37x

I got $4,500 off the G37X with 2.9% financing this April. Bigger discounts on the X ($4,500) vs RWD ($2500).

$5000 off cash purchase on the G37x today. I would have taken the S but did not fit in the seat well. Oh well, the X will be better when the weather worsens.

Since there is a $2,500 manufacturer rebate, then you're getting $2,500 off the msrp. that's pretty good, I'm looking to buy in 2-3 months time frame.

shan, how do you get $4,500 off financing? I thought the rebate is for cash purchase only.

I am in the market for a G37x Coupe. Which dealership did you buy this from?

I got it at Willowdale Infiniti. Finance is actually 2.65 (since I previously had a G coupe). But the offer is only on what they hv in stock lot. Check it out.
