I never really fully understood AWD - is it 4WD or is it 2WD with some slip... would the same power go to all 4 wheels is what I'm asking about AWD? I hear alot of various branding around the notion of power to all 4 wheels like 4motion, xDrive, 4Matic, Quatro, 4This and 4That - are they all the same?

Short answer is no, they're not all the same. The long answer is... I'm sure you can find all the info online on how different manufacturers implement "AWD" into their cars.

I guess my question is more geared to real life - is AWD really that good - or is it another trend that automakers are capitalizing on...

To me, the Infiniti G37 has lots of pluses in the winter - it's stability in corners, the sensitive controls, the road feel that it's suspension provide, the grip generated by it's low centre of gravity and big footprint — actually wouldn't these make it a safer car to drive in the winter than, say, a big SUV or minivan or even a tall AWD sedan like a Subaru Forrester... these would tip or flip - whereas the Infiniti G37's low snug hug to the road and it's extra weight (relative to other vehicles) would keep it from harms way... I suppose the only negative to the G37 would be visibility in the winter - with lows blind spots here and there and the smaller windows...

Did u see the grey models at all before buying?

Yes I did see the grey ones too, and quite frankly, this car would look great no matter what the color (i.e.: bubble gum pink?... sure!). However, I myself was going for something more flashy... my previous cars were all dark colors, so I went the opposite way with brilliant white... and believe me, it turns some heads! Lol! Of course the grey ones look awesome too and they're much less maintenance than the black where your constantly having to dust it off every 15 minutes or so. Go with your gut! No matter what color you choose, the car model itself shows you have excellent taste anyway!

Very best!

go with Diamond graphite. I think it's the best considering maintenance and looks.

I got 18" Toyos direct from the dealer (around 1000$)... installing them monday. Looking to possibly get me some 19" (or maybe 20") R1 Hype 5 spoke Racing wheels next spring... I'll see what inspires me then I guess.

IF we xcoupe owners go 19 inch we cant go staggered im told as it affects the way the AWD system responds
That is why the AWD sport model on sedan doesn't stagger
