Thornhill Tints is definitely reputable but it's up in the middle of nowhere. Another place that's reputable is Audio Heaven (I know, the name says audio but that's not all they do), which is where I'm getting my tints and clear bra done. You'll be looking at about $200 +taxes for the tints.
Other "mainstream" options are FX Auto and Ziebart.
I don't think Ontario has a legal limit; it's been said in many forums that 35% seems to be the magic number if you don't want any hassle from the po-pos. I'm gonna go 25% because I like the look of dark windows against a white car, without losing too much visibility at night or attracting po-pos too much.

Ya I was thinking of going 35% front and 20% back, since that seems to be the common trend, but now I'm thinking of going a little more darker than 35% for the front (I have OB).
I called Thornhill Tints today, talked to Richard (the owner), seems like a nice guy. He quoted me $260. I also asked him if he had done a G37 yet, and he said no, so now I dont know what to think.
I'm not even sure whether not having done one b4 really matters that much, becuase from what I have read, he does a great job.
Does 260 sound reasonable?

i've seen numerous high end cars sitting at autoFX. they've been around for quite a while too.
.
as for my own tint, i dont know what i have because i got the dealer to do it for me. told them to make it look good (my friend works at the dealership) and they did do a good job.

It doesn't really matter if they've done a G37 before. They do tints for a living and they offer lifetime warranty on the install; if by chance they screw it up just go back to them and they'll gladly fix it. A couple of my friends got their tints done there and they all recommend them.

That's the better way, so your tints are properly applied to the glass that's underneath the door. For installers who don't take it out, they try to slip or wedge the tints underneath and that's generally not desirable.
If it rattles then take it back! Lifetime warranty on the install... I know for a fact that these guys take pride in their work.
