I got my IP G37 early Aug. 2007. but it did not come with Splash Guards. Now I see the one in showrooms have them. Should I go back to the dealer and ask them to install them on for me. I live in Toronto Ontario. any advise would be nice. Thanks

 

Can't hurt to ask, they are an option so its not something the dealer will likely 'throw in' at least now. Probably be a good thing to have in Canada.

No they said it only come with it in the states, they don't even have the ipod cable. Its so sad here in Canada.

They don't "come" with them in the states either, they are a dealer installed accessory that you have to buy, $200 I believe. Sad thing is I don't even believe they are available as a dealer installed accessory here in Canada.

But regarding the iPod cable, your dealer ripped you off, they do indeed come with them in Canada. They are in a sealed baggy in the trunk, along with another bag for your cargo net. If you haven't checked that yet, I would double check, although it's hard to believe if you've owned the car as long as I have that you haven't done that yet. The salesmen aren't always the most knowledgable. My salesman didn't know about the iPod cable in the trunk until I test drove the car with him (about 20th person to do so). I had to get him to pop the trunk to get it. Needless to say when my car was delivered he knew exactly where to look when I was doing my walkthrough.

 

Couldn't you just import it from a dealer in the states and install it yourself? Seems like the logical thing to do, no?

Try emailing Tony at Riverside Infiniti and see what kind of special price he quotes you for being a forum member. I got mine from my buddy at his cost which was $146 after tax. IDK if I'd be able to get another set out of him at that price though since the part's manager wasn't too happy about it.

 

Didn't get the IPOD cable? It comes with the car. Dealer didn't know about splashguards? Come on. Sounds like there playing dumb. Every G on the lot I've seen has splashguards. It is an accessory from what I understand is installed at the port on most of them destined for the west coast anyways.

 

Splashguards do not come with the car unless you bought them as an accessory that is add when it gets to port (like the illuminated kickplates). The IPod cable comes with the Gs that have the Premium package. If you don't have that then you don't get the cable plus you won't have the connector in the console. The OP, did you get the Premium Package?

 

Yep, that's correct. My car was ordered, forgot to ask for the splashguards as an added accessory so I did not get em.

 

infiniti canada might just be as lame as infiniti US. however i was going to purchase it anyways, he said there is no such thing .. at least their dealership doesnt know about it.
