Looking for a Consult 3 to help with Top Issues or anything else G related

Anyone selling one or know where I can get one? Does Nissan sell one? I have a buddy working at a Nissan dealer as why I asked. I did a quick search and found this website. It kinda looks like the CNA website... https://www.obdii.shop/goods-257-Nis...IaAqfYEALw_wcB

Legit?

Nissan generally does not sell CONSULT to the public but I imagine anyone can try to order one from TechMateTools. Your buddy "may" be able to buy one but either way it will not be cheap even if he gets the "dealer discount." From Nissan, just the Vehicle Interface (the box that links the PC to the car) is ≈$1,700. The C3P Software is another $1,550. for a one-year subscription. This does not include the cost of the laptop, software updates, etc. This is why the Chinese "clones" are so popular- if you can find them and IF they work.

That said, I am not familiar with the site you linked. The only red flag I see is the interface. It has been my experience that modules that offer compatibility across several makes (in this case, Toyota, Nissan, and Volvo) typically do not work fully. As with anything knocked-off, sometimes you get a good one, other times you get ripped off. That is the gamble.

Used C3P's pop up on eBay all of the time. I would keep a eye out on there or perhaps shoot CNAUTOTOOL a email and see what they have to say. Keep in mind that C3P is quickly nearing end of life and production has likely ceased by now. Nissan is in the process of expanding CONSULT-4. While C4 is currently for the ARIYA, as Nissan focuses more on this EV nonsense, it will apply to most, if not all, future models. Therefore, support for "old" cars will be deprecated.

Wonder if any of this can be accessed through or opened up by uPrev or ECUTEK? Clearly they've cracked the ECU question.

Buyer beware.

These guys are cons. I bought one and could not get it to work. Paid US $521.05. Their website said it support Infiniti. I contacted their support and was told it does not work with Infiniti.

For one I am sorry you got scammed. Unfortunately, there are tons of Chinese knockoffs that are fakes. The biggest red flag I saw was the misspelling of INFINITI.

The only "Chinese clone" that was proven to work was from CNAUTOTOOL, however, they have been "out of stock" for some time. I would suggest you check eBay from time to time as used C3P's/ VI's occasionally come up for sale. Keep in mind that Nissan has updated the VI (Vehicle Interface) from ver. 2 to ver. 3 so that adds another layer of complication when searching.

Hopefully you paid by credit card and can get the amount charged back.

EDITED to add: IF the "device" works for Nissan it will work for Infiniti.

Site seems shady. Average Joes off the street buying OEM service center firmware seems suspicious.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Several members purchased from them in the past all with positive results but now, I have no clue how reliable that seller may be. I almost bought from them but they were out of stock at the time and now that prices have jumped 2-3x forget it.

In the case of the 'Vert, or anyone with a RHT car, those needing to work on the RHT will need "dealer level" diagnostic tools at some point.
