Looking to Buy a G - Help me decide the model

Hello! I’ve been recently super interested in buying a G37 Coupe and I’ve been slowly but surely doing my research. What peaked my interested so far is the 2013 G37 Coupe IPL, or 2008 G35.
What should I look out for when shopping around for these cars?
And how reliable are both of these platforms? Last year I believed I drove a total of 13-14K miles so I want to be able to daily this.

And later down the line I’d love to build this with F/I, how much (and what) would I need to put down to obtain 500 wHP reliably?

The IPL is a unique car. If that's your itch, by all means scratch it.

In 2008, the only G35 was a Sedan. '08 was a unique year, because the Coupe was a G37 with the new engine, but the Sedan was a G35 with the old engine. Also in '08, the G37 Coupe automatic had a 5AT, instead of the 7AT that came out in 2009 for both Sedans and Coupes.

As for boost... that's a whole different discussion.

That's quite the jump form an '08 G35 to a '13 IPL. If you are looking to boost your car maybe the G35 is the better option allowing you to spend more money on engine mods to get to the desired 500whp. An IPL is still a decent amount of money, well at least one in decent condition is, but this discussion all depends on what your budget is.

Yeah I truly do love the IPLs, they are beautiful car but if I’m planning to boost it later down the line. I didn’t know which car had more support for such.

Just make sure If you’re going to buy a g37 make sure it’s nothing less then a 2012 because of the paper gasket I also tell people make sure you get the sport at least and if you can find a iPL jump on it
