Is this a true S? Help a brotha out

Hey! So I’m making a move on this G, looks good and drives great with super low miles. The tag and dealer say Sport but Idk if he’s just saying it’s a sports car. It has the S seats and the 19 inch rims but I’d like to know for sure. Link is below!

Ignoring the Vert and the IPL for this answer, and irrespective of Coupe or Sedan, there were three sub-models of the G37:

Journey, with or without the Sport Package
AWD, with or without the Sport Package
6MT, which included the Sport Package by default

That's a manual transmission you've got there, as well as the OEM big-brakes. So yes, that Coupe has the Sport Package. However, that's not the Sport Package front bumper for 2013, so... that's really odd.

I agree, aside from the front bumper it appears to be a sport. Maybe the vin will help and a dealer can look up the original window sticker? Ask for a carfax report, that'll have the vin. If they don't want to pay for one say you'll buy it yourself but need the vin. I looked up some used ones to see the carfax but unfortunately they all say "journey/ipl" so that's no help but a dealer might. Especially if the carfax shows the dealer that sold it new then call them up.

The reason why is because this car was in an accident and either the parts guy messed up when ordering or they went this route because they were cheap or did not have to money for the oem lights and sports bumper which we all know is expensive.

It is a sport just converted to base/journey.

Thanks for the help everyone! And yeah, the brakes, 6mt, trim, and lsd tell me it’s a sport but Just want to be sure.

I know it was in an accident and that could explain the bumper.

I think it’s a parts mess up, the repair was done immaculately. Can’t tell it was ever in a wreck minus that discrepancy lol

That's the beauty of this design, crash beams tend to survive most damages requiring only front core adjustments and new front end.

looks like previous owner customized the oem set. Blacked out housing and an additional led strip. Looks pretty nice.

I agree, looks so mean. Definitely want to black out the grill and the chrome lip and maybe give it a black roof.

I’m getting it tomorrow! Just had a stage 2 clutch installed so I’m super hyped.

You might want to ask what these aftermarket addons do (top two orange circles)
and the car is missing the washer fluid cap. Other than that, it looks nice

I noticed the fluid cap! And those two things are for the LED in the headlight.

Missing emblem on the engine cover. Possibly caused by severe front end impact.

I suspect you are joking.... this is a fairly common issue.
