Crashed 2012 G37s Mexican Coupe

Hi L&G,

Iván here from México, been a nissan fan for long time, i have owned some of the most fun cars of the brand on this side of the atlantic, (b13 se-r, s13 240sx, s30 280z, d23 navara), and now i have the opportunity to buy a crashed g37s for arround 9,000 USD, car is starting and running, only driver bag was set, im willing to expend another 2500-3000 on repair, as much as i would like to work myself on it i will be sending it to a shop,

From the pictures, do you think this is a plausible job with such budget? How much extra do you think will be to make it IPL?

I saw most of the parts on rockauto.com and car-part.com, what are your experience with them?

One think to add is that there are not too many g37s coupe in Mexico, usualy they go arround 18-20k USD, I will be using it as weekender, so what do you think, yay or nay?

Regards from México,
Iván

The color is nice but on a budget of 3,000$ no way, your talking closed to 10-12 (4x) your budget. I had a "bump" in my G need front bumper and headlight and my INS had to pay close to 8K. This car needs more than that. For what your budget is I look for a different car :/

needs hood, fender bumper, headlight, slash shields, most likely alignment, prep paint ( whole front end) and how knows what else once you get in there. Man I think the cost I gave you maybe low

I agree with ANMVQ, that's going to cost a lot more than $3k. Ask a body shop to take a look at it for an accurate quote.

The oem head light alone is $1400. The cost of a new bumper and fender (painted) your looking at $1500. A new hood and paint probably another $1000 and close to $300 for a new grill. So your looking at some where around $4500 to $5k to get all the cosmetics fix. thats not counting and new steering wheel and air bag. you can save alot of money if you buy an after market head light for like 300 to 400 bucks. same goes for after market hood, bumper and fender. only thing is they may no fix as well as the oem parts.
