High KM G37XS 7AT Reliability?
Well this is my first post so some backstory is in order...
I've been a huge Nissan fanboy since I drove my first VQ engine in the '00 Maxima! Since then I've been driving G35s and the newer 02+ Maximas as I've been too cheap to get anything newer with all the features I've wanted.
Recently I found a wicked deal on a 2010 G37XS with 260,000KMs on it for about $7500 (Heavily negotiated price of course). One owner, lady owned since new and always serviced it at the same dealer. Has all records for maintenance and everything. Car looks super clean considering the mileage.. Is there anything specifically I should be looking out for and would this still be a great daily driver for the next 1-2 years? I'm realistically looking to take this to the mountains for snowboard trips every few weeks during the winter. I live in Edmonton AB and am really only driving it 2 weeks out of the month as I'm usually on the road.
Anyone with experience at the 200km+ range would be greatly appreciated!
Note: I've done my fair share of googling on this today and unfortunately only come up with high KM G35 models. This makes sense due to the year that the G37 was released. Has anyone here had experience with high mileage G37s?

Awesome haha, so you're Rob! I figured I'd ask the guys on their own forum as opposed to a subreddit. It seems like the general consensus is that they're pretty bulletproof.

lol yup! A lot of what I told you can be found here. Info here will dwarf anything you find on Reddit. The platform is discussed inside and out but yes, that car is bullet proof to say the least. Some minor things to monitor and keep an eye on but for the most part, this car could probably still run for another 260,000 KMs if you do the maintenance and use quality products.

So I managed to get the service records, dealer recommended a trans flush, differential and coolant flush as well... And the check engine light is on. They recommend changing the bank 2 catalytic converter. She's still firm on that price. Thoughts?

A quick NADA search puts that car's worth at $10-11k USD pending its condition. If it's in immaculate shape, easily $11k USD. You may be able to flip it quick and come out ahead if you wanted; even with the services. All those services might run $1,000 USD? You can get a Cat here on the forum easily and for cheaper than anything the dealer offers. DIY for the differential change and coolant flush and if you really wanted, a DIY for the transmission is available. Add those costs to what she's asking and you're still making out if you were to sell it.
If that car has a clean bill of health outside of the fluids, I'd buy it yesterday.

This is all good to know, however now I have an option for an 09 XS with 175kms (not original owner, aftermarket wheels and tinted taillights) for $9,800 which I think might be a better buy long term...
