Negotiating a lease buyout possible?

Or am I stuck with the buyout price? No room for negotiating?

I mean it's a 2015 Q60 (G37). New model is out. Why would dealers want to keep this on their lot? It's also a 6mt which we all know doesn't move.

Any help or suggestions?

If it is an Infiniti lease you're out of luck.

Generally stuck. Your monthly payments were based on the buyout figure. You can talk to them but I wouldn't hold your breath.

It's a signed contract. If the car somehow became highly exclusive and increased in value during the lease ownership, Infiniti also cannot come back to you and ask for more money.

The dealership gets paid regardless of the car's value, corporate foots the bill, so there isn't even any motivation to go against the system. If the car isn't worth the residual they will auction it off.

I was told they also have insurance to protect them from a big hit at the end of the lease.

Darn, I was going to ask the same question - I got a 39 month lease on a new 2013 G37 in October of 2014 (they had a bunch of them) It has Premium Pkg & Navi - the sticker was $39K - I paid $995 down with payments of $279 for 39 months - the residual is like $21.5k - I have been looking around and I figure the car will be worth more like $17k this December (2017) when the lease is up - has no one ever negotiated a lower residual with Infiniti?

Can't negotiate. I tried 2x. I ended up paying the premium & purchased mine due to low miles.

That could be the case. All I know is it doesn't come from the dealership's bottom line.

Give it back at end of lease. Then watch for it... then negotiate...

Infiniti auctions off the cars. The dealership doesn't own the car, Infiniti Financial Service does. If the dealer wants to car, they also pay the residual. Otherwise, auction it is.

What about re-leasing the car? Can re-negotiate a lease? Say another 2 years?

Maybe 2018 if they upgrade the infotainment system and have a 6mt option.

For that amount of power, I would not get a manual tranny on the Redsport (Twin Turbo)
The autos are beating up manual tranny nowadays from street legal speed. (Below 60mph) Believe me I test drove a 2016 Mustang GT V8 with 3.75 axle ratio (better lowend torque)
and my Q40x sedan with just a Visconti Ecutek tune, rips it from dead stop up to 70MPH.

The only advantage for manual like the mustang GT is above 60MPG or hwy speed.
I find the manual, no matter how quick you shift, youreally lose momentum. The only reason it was not obvious on youtube video 1/4 run how slow these new GT is , is bec. it is against another manual tranny.

I did not believe this at first, until I test drove a 2016 Mastang GT manual tranny with 3.75 axle ratio. The GT passed the G37 @ 19 secs mark which is beyond 1/4 mile. So if you primary drive in the street auto is the way to go...BTW! I never use my D mode on my Q40. My daily drive is M mode and my off the line pull is in DS mode with less than 3 secs brake torque.
