Need help buying a 2009 g37XS

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, I have been looking into a G37 for a while. Yesterday I found a 2009 G37XS one owner with every option, almost all loaded, but with 97000miles on it, $11800. For this high mileage what should I double check? Is there any common fault on this car? What I learned on this forum is TSB and some valve need to be checked. Am I right? Thank you for your advice.

Before you shell out your hard earned money ask if the seller is willing to have the vehicle thoroughly checked out and inspected by an Infiniti dealer. They can run the VIN number for you and give you some history.
Any deficiencies discovered can be used to further negotiate the selling price.

Good luck

Thank you for your input. I will bring it to a dealer to check it if the seller agree with that. If everything shows good after the check, do you think this is a good deal at this price? Thank you.

When having the G checked, be sure to have your oil pressure checked as well. The earlier models have been prone to failure due to the rear timing cover gasket being made out of paper and a repair can cost anywhere from $2k to $3k. Newer models (2012 onward I believe) have been updated with the metal gaskets and don't have the same issue.

Personally, with that high of mileage, I probably wouldn't drop $11,800 on it. I'd keep looking and pay more for a G with less mileage. But that's just me...good luck and keep us posted!
