Buying first G

I'm looking to buy a G37 and was wondering if this one I'm currently looking at worth it.

I just went to look at '13 G37 with 19k miles. Originally priced 26k and he offered to sell for $24.9k. Is this a good deal? It looks brand new

Only con is it doesn't include navi, but I use google maps on my phone anyways. Another thing I learned is that bluetooth streaming isn't available without navi, which I'm hoping there's a way to go around that.

One owner and it was a lease vehicle (corporate)

It has 2 and a half years/40k miles left on the factory warranty.

The only thing that's bringing me down is the gas mileage, I'm coming from a civic so its going to be a big difference. I'm also concerned that the style might be looked at as dated, considering a lot of cars coming out are following many new different design languages.

What do you guys think?

Is it a sedan, coupe, vert? I'm guessing sedan by the price. Have you checked out kelly blue book.com & auto trader with the search specs set on similar G37's with similar mileage? That's a killer tool to help you determine if your getting the right price or not. I searched for months before I came across the right deal and pulled the trigger. Seriously I bought my convertible from an Infiniti dealership in Washington State!! Paid to have it shipped and they paid to have my G35 shipped to them. Even after the shipping costs ($1000) I came out $6-$7K ahead of all the similar verts I had been looking at for months. So I knew exactly what I was getting into. You feel me?
Do some heavy research first and you'll know the market for yourself. Without knowing what your buying I can't help you tho.

I can tell you this however. Infiniti makes one hell of a vehicle. I owned my G35 for 9 years and it absolutely never ever broke down on me. That played a huge role in me being able to buy a 2012 G37 sight unseen. Honestly if the G37 never breaks down on me I might roll the dice n say F the extended warranty next time lol

Good luck with your search. You can't go wrong with an infiniti. Just for kicks I'll say that deal doesn't sound too bad. But plz educate yourself before gettin a car. It's the 2nd largest purchase you'll ever make most likely. Next to a mortgage of course.

I have been looking for months for one and this one stuck out because of the low gas mileage and how brand new it looks, most of the ones I've seen weren't as well maintained as this one especially with this price.

Originally I was going to get a '16 Mazda 6, but my mind kept saying to get a car with more power and more fun to drive.
Do you think the factory warranty is good enough? 2 years OR 40k doesn't seem much

It's a seden, here's some pictures of it:

Can't speak much on the pricing but the bluetooth streaming not being available sucks. That's probably the one thing I hate about the car. Even though I came from a Camry before this and gas mileage doesn't bother me as much as this car not having bluetooth audio. There's a small usb adapter but it doesn't work nearly as well as one would like. I can't remember the name but using the search feature, you should be able to find it.

Good luck if you decide to purchase it. So far it's been a great car for me (2012 G37) and I've had it for a year.

Yea I saw some posts talking about the bluetooth devices, I found this one:
Amazon.com: Miccus Mini-jack RX: Bluetooth Music Receiver pair it with Phones, Tablets, PCs and Apple Devices: Electronics Amazon.com: Miccus Mini-jack RX: Bluetooth Music Receiver pair it with Phones, Tablets, PCs and Apple Devices: Electronics

I might end up getting this if I do buy this particular G37.

My dream would be to install an android auto dash (I think Pioneer makes it), but wouldn't know how about getting it on a G37 with HVAC/etc. controls

that adapter won't work as the model year you are looking at does not have the audio jack to plug it into. if Bluetooth streaming is that important (which it was for me) get a g37 with navi.

Damn does it seriously? Why would they remove the aux port in newer models

This would've been the perfect car if I could've just put a bluetooth device for streaming audio (spotify/pandora/etc.)

Thanks for filling in the blanks bro. Especially for adding the pics that helps.

It's a sexy car! I agree with the others about the Bluetooth but I'd like to also add the nav to that equation. Even if you do use google maps al the time...having the nav is so much easier (and bigger screen). But that's up to you man. Personally I can't get behind buying the car unless the nav + Bluetooth option is adding at least $2K to the price. Anything less than that price bump and IMO I'd go with a different infiniti with those options.

Now....as for the warranty question...in my experience only, yes 40,000 is plenty. But I would hate to be responsible for recommending you not going with an extended warranty n something happening. Yes both of my G's have taken me down the road for a combined 10 years with ZERO breakdowns given just the normal oil change n upkeep. But that being said both times I've sprung for the extended warranty.

Let's look at it from another angle for a second. How much more is the extended warranty gonna add to your monthly payment? Is it worth the risk? Anybody out there actually had trouble with their cars? If so how helpful was your warranty?

Such a hard decision, I might as well keep looking for one with navi. But I keep telling myself, this is particular one has low miles and it in almost perfect condition (there were scratches on the back of the rear AC) and I'm worried I won't find another like this one for a long while.

I know that the VQ engines are amazing and so I believe 40k miles should be good enough as long as I keep up regular maintenance, although the infiniti CPO 100k warranty sounds amazing, but this isn't CPO'd and plus this particular one is actually at the nissan branch and not the infiniti, but both dealerships are the same brand? (I can't think of the word atm)

Hey bro if you've been lookin for a few months like you said and you feel like this is the car for you...then go for it.

Only thing I'm saying is before I bought my G37 i had the G35 without navi. And I thought to myself idk if I get navi or Bluetooth really...I've made it this long without them and I'm perfectly happy. But it just happened to then out the car I found the best deal on had both. Now I wouldn't wanna live without both of them. Nav is Nav. Helpful at the least. Touch screen is pimp, etc.
but when I get a call while I'm in my car...and it just transfers to the 9 Bose speakers with the top down...it's awesome. Just saying. Maybe look around for a couple weeks longer and see if you can find one with those options and the se mileage. Either way I wouldn't trade those options for anything with over 25,000 miles. Low miles>navi+Bluetooth but honestly what's a few more weeks of searching in car time. It's like dog years you know lol

just to clarify, the G37 will have bluetooth connectivity for phone calls. what you don't get is bluetooth audio streaming without the navi.

Buying first G

I just bought my G37 Journey Sedan Non Navigation liquid Platinum one precious owner for 22,709 out the door with only 25,000 miles even. Found a great deal and it was in excellent condition.

Well that kinda puts it into perspective a bit. Yours is same price and less mileage...I guess go for it. Especially since it seems the calls will still transfer thru to your speakers. Thanks for clarifying that man.

A G37S with a manual will give you every option in the book so try for one of those. Also, you get a man pedal for free.........LOL. Good luck and these cars are great deals for what they are.
