Infiniti warranty

I'm in the process of purchasing an 2011 infiniti g25x 31,000 for 18.5k my question is where should I get a warranty from? I couldn't find any G's at my local infiniti dealer. They are trying to sell a warranty through us warranty for 1,7k 5yr/100miles and the infiniti dealer has a warranty 5yr/50k for 1,9k (both seem overpriced). Any suggestions ?

I've just started looking around as well. I've run across these two sites for warranties but I have no clue how good they are. Reviews around the web makes them sound good. Any one have any comments about either of these?

Other banks, credit unions, etc don't necessarily cover the labor and part cost of true OEM replacements. I had a friend make this mistake:

They weren't getting OEM parts
They were having to pay the difference between what the warranty company was willing to pay versus what the authorized service provider billed
They also had to pay a copay that varied by the repair job

The dealer option you mentioned above seems quite low, but I suppose that is because the car you are considering isn't CPO. I'm not going to say that the dealer is always best, but where warranties are concerned if it's not with the dealer I wouldn't do it.

I would highly recommend you guys look seriously at the Infiniti Elite warranty. It is by far THE best warranty for a G. You can buy them online from some of the dealerships that specialize in selling them at a discount (i.e. Scottsdale Infiniti), or use those prices to haggle with your local dealership, and end up with fairly reasonable pricing, especially considering how comprehensive the coverage is. Lots and lots of threads here covering exactly how to do this, so do some homework before you buy.

The Infiniti Extended Elite warranty protection plan it by fare the best. 3rd party warranties just open the door for more head aches. My research left me with 2 dealerships that offer one of the lowest it not the lowest price on this warranty. Also remember you can buy the warranty from any dealership you want and have it serviced at any dealership as well. So shop around and look for the best deal. I got mine ($1350 for 6 years and up to 112k miles on a 2011 G37x with 29,000 miles on it, with the $100 deductible) from Sherry at Circle Infiniti 300 rt 36 West long branch, NJ 07764 . I also contacted Courtney Mutema @ Infiniti Of Scottsdale (Arizona)Phone: 480-295-4174, both were with in 100 bucks of each other. They were also quoting me $1000 less than my local Infiniti dealership.

Sherry from Circle also gave me a great deal on my G35. An additional 4 years or another 48k mileage, $50 deductible for $785.

It was well worth it as it saved me over $3k in services... (compression rod bushings, power steering hose, rear subfamily bushing leak, etc etc).

OC Infiniti wanted $1500 or so.

I was looking at a used car this morning and found a 2012 G37x with 24,450 miles in it. So I asked the dealer if it is CPO. He said I have to pay $900 for CPO and that is only for power train warranty. So I mentioned the Circle Infiniti where I bought my warranty from for my EX35. I paid $1,600 for 60/97k miles with $50 deductible.

After a few minutes, the General Manager came out and gave me an offer of $1,289 for 84months/100k with 0 deductible or $1,589 96 months/120k miles 0 deductible. This is for Infiniti CPO Wrap which is the same warranty I bought from Circle Infiniti in NJ for my EX35. (Infiniti Elite Extended Warranty)

Good for you! It's almost laughable how much the average local dealership can "sharpen their pencil" after they know you're not just wise to their ridiculous markups on warranty pricing, but fully knowledgeable about where to actually get a REAL price if they don't want to get REAL.

Mine through Allstate was 5yr/100,000miles for $1895 and no deductible. USAA wanted $2800. That price you were given is not overpriced.

Yes, you can. Call Scottsdale Infiniti's website and speak to Courtney: Infiniti Elite Protection Plans | Infinity Car Warranty Maintenance Plan

Interesting info on warranties. I wasn't considering one outside the CPO of 6/100 for a vehicle with 26K and 34 months left on the 6 year. I asked about an extended and they told me $1300 b to b for basically the same thing. It sounds like they may be wrong, so it might be worth a little more research here.

Courtney (from above) been selling these warranties for many many years and knows her way around them from every angle. She is very solid and will tell you straight up what's what.

Agreed on Courtney... I was considering non-CPO units still in the factory warranty from non-Infiniti dealers and she quoted excellent pricing. You'll have to pay $140-ish to get the car inspected at an Infiniti dealer to put the Elite warranty on it. But... as others said... it's the best way to go.

I ended up buying a CPO and putting the "wrap" on it for $970. I just wanted the piece of mind the wrap brings... added another year, no deductible, fills the gaps of the CPO warranty, and transferable or pro-rated refundable.
