There's a 2012 by me for $37,700 w/ 6300 miles (Mercedes Benz of Freehold). I think the car is worth 33-35. A better buy imo is a new untitled one at Harte Infiniti 2011 IPL for $39,777 which i'm sure they can go lower on so you get close to the price they are asking for that 2012. Untitled so you get the full 4 years of warranty on it. The rest of the 11's are mid 30's-34ish from what I have been seeing. Any reason you're looking at a '12 besides mileage/warranty considerations? Having said that, I don't think it's a great price unless it's CPO, these things depreciate huge.

Hmmm you are making me reconsider the deal

Glad I didn't agree to anything yet.
I guess in my mind the 12 would be a better buy? I am Taking what you are saying to mind.

I'll see what my Credit union says then I'll offer like $34 and see what they say. The dealer sounded like they weren't gonna budge lower than $36,000 saying that it is already priced lower than market value.

Matt did you decide on anything yet? I know you were thinking about getting a G37 IPL or do you still have the BMW?

I am still in the process of getting rid of my car which hopefully will be in the next few weeks. I wasted too much time with multiple dealers playing games on my trade so I decided to sell it independently before I went to purchase. I am going to press for the IPL, but really don't want to pay what the dealers are asking for them. There are a few new ones that cropped up, so hopefully I will be able to get where I want to be, around $28k, an aggressive deal, but this is what I feel the car is worth. Keep in mind these IPLs were discounted up to 8k (possibly more?) new given how poor they were selling. I think the 2011 or 2012 are nearly identical, thus I would rather have another 3-5k in my pocket-- especially if the '11 is titled in 2012 and the mileage is lower, so both would have comparable warranty left. I think 36 is high for the car in all honesty. The '11's@$34k+ haven't really sold which tells me they are priced too high (mileage 20-35k). How long has the vehicle you're looking at been on their lot? Was it traded in or auction so we can get a feel for how much they are into the car for? Condition? Tires? Does it need anything? CPO? Are you financing with the dealer? Are you trading in?

I see another IPL @ Auto place Infiniti 2012 $37,900-7100 miles. I would seriously consider at least emailing Harte to see if they can beat the price you quoted-I would much rather have a brand new '11 with full warranty than a used '12 with less warranty, all things considered.

2013 on ebay which didn't hit it's reserve when it was on auction-stick if you're looking for that.

Thanks Matt for the updates LOL...I've got my eye on it continuously as well.

They are desperate to get those cars off the lots. I found an IPL in Delaware a 2011 Graphite G37 IPL with 16,345 miles for like $30,465. I might jump on that soon. Also in talks with Auto place Nissan Infiniti for their 2012 IPL they said its practically a brand new car.

Go with the IPL. If the price is within your budget and you really like the car then go with it. It's all about what's important to you, if the car meets your requirements and financially its within your budget then it's a good deal. That's how I look at it. I really like Malbec black and I wanted a stick and the price for me was with in range could I have haggled a little more, probably, I could have got a better deal maybe with a different color or an automatic, but then I would have compromised on something that was very important to me. Overall I can so far, that these cars are really fun to drive and present a nice balance between performance, luxury and fun factor. My answer is a more on the philosophical side of buying rather than the hard facts, so take it for what its worth.
